Self-Portrait
Every seven years, on a molecular level, you are a completely different person and I have found that life, like our skin and our genetic makeup, is about creating and shedding layers. This Self-Portrait is a gesture towards visualizing the experiential layers of our timeline -- how the revelation of one layer obscures the previous one or how three layers from now the initial layer vanishes or with the introduction of a new layer a part of the previous layer is highlighted. The transformation from the 2d portrait to the 3d portrait explores the same themes but placed upon the human body to highlight the experience of the biographer.
